Sample Session
Try this sample session to experience how effective and easy EFT is for yourself.

1. Think of a issue, memory, situation from your past (can even be yesterday) that when thinking about it right now, you experience negative emotion.

2. Rate the intensity of the emotion on a scale of 0 to 10, with 10 being the strongest emotion and 0 being a neutral feeling about the issue. Remember this number.

3. While thinking about the issue or problem tap through the following points on the face and upper body.

Tap on each point about 5 to 6 times:
  • Under the eye (About one inch beneath the center of the eye)
  • The inside of the little finger near the nail (Hold your hand as if you are going to shake hands with someone and the tapping point is on the top side of the little finger) 
  • Beginning of the eyebrow
  • Middle finger near the nail
  • Beginning of the eyebrow
  • Index finger near the nail
  • Under the eye
  • Outside corner of the eye
  • Under the arm (About 4 inches down from the armpit)
  • Collar bone (Find the "U" shaped notch in the center of the collar bone and then move your fingers sideways from there about one inch)
  • The Gamut point (On the back of the hand between the little and ring finger knuckles)

Tap through the above sequence once and then think of the issue again and once again rate the intensity using the 0 to 10 system.

The number should have gone down but if not don't worry just keeping tapping through the above sequence until your "number" gets to one or 0. The location of the tapping points is very forgiving so just do your best. Every new skill requires a little practice.
